Web Site Design Software

A number of you have been asking me for suggestions of software for website design. My personal favorite, excluding some of the commercial ones, is NVU. NVU is WYSIWIG editor that’s as easy to use as your favorite word processor. Images can even be added through drag and drop. Tables and templates are also supported to make for a very professional looking web site.

Another useful tool, especially if you are making an instructional web site, is eXe Learning. The software is designed for creating IMS or SCORM units compatible with online classrooms like Moodle. Once you start the software you choose learning objects/activities to add, assign a template for look and feel, and watch the web site virtually create itself.

If you’d like to get more information on either of these apps browse to the following sites, or drop me a line.
